Head and Neck / Endocrine Pathology

Head and Neck Endocrine Pathology

The Head and Neck/Endocrine Pathology Service specializes in the evaluation of a wide range of head and neck (H&N) specimens including salivary gland, thyroid and parathyroid as well as those of the oral cavity, larynx and pharynx, ear, jaw and skull bones, and soft tissue.

We receive all Head and Neck/Endocrine specimens at George Washington University Hospital as well as outpatient Medial Faculty Associates Clinics. We work very closely with the cytology department to provide Rapid-On-Site Evaluation for ultrasound -guided Fine Needle Aspiration performed by ENT surgeons and Endocrinologists.

Our faculty includes pathologists with subspecialty expertise in head and neck diseases who publish articles relevant to this subject area in peer-reviewed journals.
