Gastrointestinal, Liver, and Pancreas Pathology

Gastrointestinal, Liver and Pancreas Pathology

Our team of fellowship-trained and experienced GI pathologists provides outstanding diagnostic service for biopsies and surgical resections of the luminal gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas with excellent turnaround time. We have published hundreds of scientific papers in related disease in peer-reviewed journals and continue to lead and participate in translational research that benefits patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal, liver and pancreas diseases. We also teach medical students and residents, participate in patient-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences, and help in the education of residents and fellows in other related clinical specialties.

Our expertise includes, but not limited to, Barrett's esophagus (also known as Barrett's metaplasia), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis, fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and premalignant lesions and malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. We also have access to a wide range of ancillary tests and biomarkers that aid in the diagnosis, prognosis, and assessment of treatment targets including mismatch repair proteins, Her2, PD-L1 and others.

In addition to serving our affiliated clinicians and facilities, we provide outreach and consultation services.
