The Breast Pathology service provides interpretation and analysis of full spectrum of breast pathology specimens including biopsies and resections received from George Washington University Hospital and outpatient clinics. The Breast Pathology team is a fundamental component in the prevention, diagnosis and management of breast diseases. Our attending pathologists actively provide consultative services during intraoperative consultation and breast tumor boards and they participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Our breast pathologists work in collaboration with the GW state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Center. The Breast Cancer program at GW is accredited by the American College of Surgeons.
