Early 60's yr old man w/ h/o ccRCC, HTN & a gross hematuria. A 0.2 cm nodule from the right lateral wall of the urinary bladder was biopsied w/ a submucosal mass. Which IHCs would you order, & what is your DDx?
Diagnosis: Paraganglioma
Note: Tumor cells are positive for synaptophysin, chromogranin, S-100, and GATA-3 and...
Negative for CAM5.2, CD68, PAX-8, CK20
p53 did not show overexpression and Ki-67 is less than 1%
Overall, morphological and IHC profile is c/w paraganglioma.
